Handheld pit and crowd coverage of Dave's South African tour in Johannesburg and Cape Town, synced with front-of-house audio and live edited on the night. More than 30 videos were shared within five hours of the performance.
Dave's team wanted the tour on social while it was happening: the reactions, the crowd and the performance, posted fast and in a way that felt like being there rather than a polished promo. We live edited throughout, and more than 30 videos were shared within five hours of the performance.
We shot both the Johannesburg and Cape Town shows with two camera operators, one roaming the pit and one in the crowd, then synced the footage with the front-of-house audio so every clip sounded as good as it looked.
The performance came first. We were not allowed on stage and could only shoot from the pit and the crowd, with no stabilisation and no Ronin.
So every frame is handheld and every operator kept a low profile. We kept the kit light to stay out of sight and out of the audience's way, which also keeps the footage raw and authentic.
Tell us what you're launching. We'll come back within 24 hours.
